Samsung Galaxy S8 Review

As the news was floating the sky that Samsung will launch a phone that will fill the void created due to NOTE 7. By not destroying hopes of its users Samsung released its magnificent SAMSUNG GALAXY S8  a month ago.

By personally using it, I can say this gadget is the best product produced by SAMSUNG. Here is a brief review of S8.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Design

For last few years, every smartphone manufactures were focusing on whole screen display. Before release of IPhone 7 the rumors were circulating that it will have no define borders and it will be a whole glass product.

The most outstanding feature of S8 is its design, the infinity display, over sized Screen. To make it look bigger Samsung has removed the home button from screen and added 3D touch option just for home button. Fingerprint scanner moved near camera. 

Another thing that adds to its beauty is covering of gorilla glass on its face as well on its back. Along with it, there is a metal plate covering the sides of phone which makes it resistant to damage and also polishes its beauty.  By looking at phone one can say that it is real example of beauty and the beast.

Samsung S8 display and performance

Now coming towards display of phone. S8 with its 1440x2960(px) display and Super AMOLED screen provides a clear and real touch to its users. A news was circulating that S8 screen has some reddish colors that make display cheap, when was investigated by company it was revealed that it was rumored by their competitors. As I wrote earlier the infinity display of S8 gives the phone five star rank.

Performance

Here comes the most important part of S8. S8 is powered with  octa-core processor, MALI GPU and 4GB of RAM. Along with these features, it has cooling system like s7 but this one is more advance obviously. Even by running intensive applications phone never hangs and never gets hot. Huge internal storage also adds to its performance. 

S8 has 3000 mAh non-removable battery. To avoid tragedies like NOTE 7 Samsung avoided Li-Po batteries and relies on Li-ion battery. Battery timing of S8 is awesome, even on Wi-Fi or on mobile data battery drains very slowly.

BAD SIDE

Despite of all above awesome features S8 has still many drawbacks.

First is location fingerprint scanner. Since phone is about 6 inch longer one cannot simply hold phone in hand and unlocks his phone. There is a risk of slipping of phone from user’s hand also S8 has very slippery body.

Second thing is BIXBY. To compete with Siri of Apple, Samsung introduced its AI agent Bixby on S8 and S8+.BIXBY is good but sometimes it makes terrible mistakes. Also for some regions of world BIXBY voice command support was not available. According to many users there was no need for Bixby now.

Third thing is FACIAL RECOGNIZATION and IRIS SCANNER. S8 comes with Facial recognition system and iris scanner which both are indeed great security guards. But the problem is in low-light both fails to recognize you. So making phone harder to unlock. 

Since everything has both positive and negative features so as S8 has. But if we judge both then we can easily say that despite of bad features still S8 is awesome product and worthy to buy.
